Bio-Gas as a source of energy
Biogas is a type of renewable gas obtained from organic waste from industries such as food, agriculture and livestock. Basically, wherever there is biodegradable organic matter (which decomposes) it is possible to obtain this biofuel.
Biogas is produced through a process of anaerobic digestion (in the absence of oxygen) of organic matter. This process is carried out in a biodigester, which is nothing more than a closed container where the organic matter is deposited.
This is mainly used to obtain electrical and thermal energy. It could also be injected into the conventional natural gas grid after being refined to reduce the percentage of carbon dioxide. In this case, we would be talking about biomethane or methane from renewable sources, a product that could also be used as biofuel in ready-made vehicles.
Renewable
Both biogas and biomass are inexhaustible as they originate from our planet’s organic matter, making it a 100% renewable fuel.
Ecological
The process is environmentally friendly because the production of biogas and biofuels avoids accumulating tonnes of organic waste in our landfills.
Development
Biogas allows for decentralised supply of electric power and represents a business opportunity for rural areas, which ultimately fosters local development and employment.
What are we looking for?
Energy savings
Decarbonisation
We give machinery a second life, reducing the costs of melting, recycling, energy and resources that would be incurred without remanufacturing.
Sustainability
Thanks to BeGas engines we avoid the use of an old diesel engine. In this way, we reduce the polluting emissions they generate.
Remanufacturing in the Basque Country
Remanufacturing culture
We want to educate people and companies to develop knowledge around the key technologies involved in remanufacturing and thus favour the creation of a remanufacturing environment in the Basque Country.
Teamwork
We rely on companies to help us carry out the reconditioning work. For example: electronics, hydraulics, powertrain, gearboxes, etc.
Supporting education and training
Working with centres
We work with professional educational centres such as San Viator, where we promote training in the field of motors and electronics.
We are decarbonising the industrial sector
Product recovery to its original condition
Remanufacturing process
Remanufacturing is the process of restoring a product to its original factory condition, using original or re-engineered parts and following the manufacturer’s specifications. This process is carried out in order to extend product life, reduce waste and save costs.
- A sustainable option due to a more thorough, detailed process that significantly extends the life of the product.
- Increased performance of the machines making them more efficient, powerful and cost effective.
- Reduced environmental footprint and long-term cost savings.
